Hygrothermal
Itecons has a vast experience and proven technical capacity in the development of solutions in the area of hygrothermics, such as thermal insulation, window frames, exterior coatings, among other solutions.
In the scope of research and development of solutions, Itecons has:
- Expertise in the characterisation of materials, such as determination of thermal conductivity and reaction to fire of construction products;
- Capability to perform numerical simulations of heat and mass transfer phenomena, seeking to optimise the hygrothermal performance of innovative solutions;
- Air permeability, water tightness and resistance to wind test chambers for constructive solutions of large dimensions, for example curtain facades 12 m high and 8 m wide;
- Large climatic chambers with the capacity to perform accelerated aging tests, such as tests under specific conditions of temperature and humidity.
In addition, it has specialised and multidisciplinary technical staff with the capacity to implement standardised tests and/or define specific test procedures for the development of innovative solutions.
