Economic profitability
In line with the latest European Union recommendations, Itecons conducts studies to ensure that investment in energy efficiency measures is cost-effective while at the same time minimum building performance requirements do not deviate too far from so-called optimal levels of profitability.
Itecons has sophisticated tools for selecting measures of energy efficiency and use of renewable energy in buildings. The solutions studied are evaluated on the basis of profitability criteria, according to the economic cycle of the building. Itecons professionals are able to recommend economically viable measures that involve:
- Enclosure insulation and window replacement: Based on simulations of energy performance and market costs, establish the optimum thicknesses of insulation of the roof, walls and floor, as well as more suitable windows, depending on characteristics, location and usage patterns of the building .
- Renewal of lighting, HVAC and water (re)use systems: Recommend the replacement of lighting, ventilation, cooling, heating systems and sanitary water by the most appropriate options for each building. Evaluate the economic viability of investment in (re)use of water.
- Use of renewable energy sources: Make estimates of energy production according to local climatic conditions.
