CERIS Coimbra | Itecons — Management and host institution
Itecons is the institution responsible for the management and hosting of CERIS Coimbra, a Pole of the Centre for Research and Innovation in Civil Engineering for Sustainability (CERIS), created from a partnership agreement between Instituto Superior Técnico (IST), the Association of the Instituto Superior Técnico for Research and Development (IST-ID), the University of Coimbra (UC) and Itecons itself.
CERIS – Research and Innovation in Civil Engineering for Sustainability – is a research unit registered with FCT in the area of Civil Engineering. Its mission is to create and disseminate scientific knowledge and promote innovation in the Built and Natural Environment sector, through active involvement in fundamental and applied research, both nationally and internationally, and in the enhancement of higher education and training through research. Professors and researchers from UC and Itecons can join the existing groups at CERIS Coimbra.
